As part of its mission to enhance accessibility and efficiency in the legal field, the Bar Association of Córdoba, in collaboration with the Judicial Power and Santex, developed LEGALIA — an AI-powered legal assistant designed to transform the way lawyers research, interpret, and manage cases.

By combining natural language processing, jurisprudence search, predictive modeling, and document management, LEGALIA aims to improve efficiency, reduce manual workloads, and foster a more transparent and data-driven legal system.

The Challenge

Lawyers face an ever-growing volume of legal data while striving to maintain precision, ethics, and speed. The Bar Association recognized the need for a specialized tool that would combine automation with legal expertise, tailored to the local judicial framework.

Key challenges included:

• Fragmented research workflows: Jurisprudence searches required extensive manual effort.

• Lack of intelligent tools: Existing legal software was generic and not optimized for Argentina’s judicial system.

• Low automation: Document drafting remained repetitive and time-consuming.

• Dispersed document management: Lack of traceability and centralization across legal documents.

The Solution

LEGALIA: The Intelligent Legal Assistant

Designed to accelerate and simplify the work of litigating lawyers.

Santex partnered with the Bar Association to design and develop LEGALIA, a modular AI solution built around four key components:

• Conversational assistant: A natural language chatbot that helps search and interpret case law in minutes.

• Interactive case canvas: A visual tool for organizing arguments, tracking evidence, and managing workflows.

• Centralized document manager: Enables secure, efficient organization and access to case documents.

• Predictive and recommendation models: Leverage machine learning to forecast outcomes and guide legal strategy.

Developed in just three months using a dual-track agile approach, LEGALIA demonstrates how AI can enhance — not replace — the work of legal professionals.

Security was a priority: the solution runs on a private cloud with role-based access, encryption, and data protection mechanisms to ensure confidentiality.
