Santex Group Company has developed Version 2.x for the Drupal Hidden Author module that allows users with the proper permissions to post comments and nodes without revealing their name. This is better than just hiding it with CSS or creating a new template... blah blah blah...

This upgrade was designed by Fernando P. García of SGC and the new approach assigns a given node or comment to "Anonymous", or another title of your choice.

Currently pending is the ability to post anonymously to other users, but still be able to edit/delete the node they created as anonymous. Patches and suggestions are welcome!

Version 1.x gives users with certain permissions the ability to hide their user name from other users when posting a comment. This allows users to post anonymously to other users, but still be able to edit/delete their comment as well as keeping the user connected to the comment for administration purposes. This module brings parity with a phpbb3 mod that serves the same purpose.

Note: Upgrading from version 1.x requires you to run update.php.
